Privacy Policy
FlatSixDynamics is built by a single independent developer in Germany. The app runs entirely on your device. We do not have a server. We do not have an analytics dashboard. We do not have a marketing pixel. There is, in the truest sense, nothing to collect.
This page exists because the App Store requires us to publish a privacy policy, and because we want you to know — explicitly, in plain English — what does and does not happen when you use FlatSixDynamics.
What We Collect
Nothing personal.
The flow solver runs on your device's GPU. Your speed-slider input never leaves your phone. No usage statistics, no telemetry, no advertising identifiers, no device fingerprint. We never see your name, email, IP address, or any identifier we can tie back to you.
Crash diagnostics — only if you opt in.
If you opt in to share diagnostics through iOS's standard system dialog, Apple may forward to us an anonymous, symbolicated crash report containing the application's state at the moment of the crash, the device model, and the iOS version. The report contains no identifier we can link to you. We use these reports only to fix bugs and improve stability.
If Apple changes the App Store's standard analytics offering, we will read what's new, decide whether it's worth turning on, and update this page before doing so.
What Apple Collects
When you download FlatSixDynamics from the App Store, Apple processes your purchase and download independently of us. Apple's privacy practices are governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We see only the anonymous aggregate sales numbers Apple makes available in App Store Connect — no individual buyers, no names, no payment details.
What the App Stores Locally
The app keeps a tiny amount of state on your device, all in iOS's standard sandboxed App Storage:
- Whether you've seen the onboarding screen (a single yes/no flag).
- Cached precomputed flow states, so the simulation warm-starts when you change speed.
Both stay on your device. Both are deleted when you uninstall the app. Neither is synced to iCloud unless Apple's system-level iCloud backup is enabled by you for all apps — in which case Apple, not we, holds the encrypted backup.
Children
FlatSixDynamics is rated 4+. The app is safe for all ages. We collect no data, so we collect no data from children either.
Your Rights Under GDPR
Because we collect no personal data, the standard GDPR / DSGVO rights (access, rectification, deletion, portability, restriction, objection) have nothing to act on. If that changes — if a future version of the app introduces any feature that handles personal data — this page will be updated before that feature ships, and you will be notified inside the app before any such feature can be enabled.
If you believe we have processed your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your member state. In Germany, this is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz of the federal state where you reside.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever change this policy, the change will be visible in the app's “About” panel and dated at the top of this page.
